This is the carbon block pre-filter included with the Tall Blue and will remove sediment, chlorine, organic chemicals, etc. When using the Tall Blue as a high capacity pre-filter for the Merlin-Garden Pro, you should change this carbon filter as well as the Tall Blue's sediment filter and the Merlin-Garden Pro's pre-filter every 4,500 gallons of Reverse Osmosis.
